Nest canoptrix

Nests are structures created as part of randomly generated missions in the Campaign and Survival game modes.

In these missions, Mr. Riggs will inform the player that the base is being attacked by an incoming horde of enemies coming from a nearby nest. The appropriate units will periodically be generated by the nest and attack the player and their base until the player locates and destroys the nest. The location of the nest will be indicated by a pulsing red dot on the map.

Nest Variants[ | ]

Currently there are four kinds of nests in the game. Each nest variant has unique health, resistances, and vulnerabilities. All nests will drop an assortment of Ironium, Carbonium, Animal Biomass, and the rare metal associated with the area they appear in.

Appearance Nest Type Health Resistances Vulnerabilities Resource Database Description
Nest canoptrix Canoptrix 2000 Physical - 50% Fire - 150% Hazenite This large organism seems to be a central figure in the Canoptrix reproductive cycle. The organism does not seem to belong to the same species as the regular Canoptrix, but the creatures always seem to lay eggs around it. It is suspected that due to the large and intimidating stature of this being, the eggs are protected from predators.
Nest granan Granan 2500 Physical - 50%

Acid - 100%

Fire - 150% Rhodonite Granans lay their eggs in this structure. It is similar to a honeycomb then it comes to its construction. Granan larvae hatch from eggs laid in the hive and remain there until maturity. The larvae feed on small insects lured to the hive by the bioluminescent appendages growing out of the structure.
Nest morirot Morirot 3000 Physical - 50%

Fire - 100%

None Ferdonite Morirots seek out places like these to lay their eggs. The elevated platform is situated over an active volcanic vent, significantly increasing the surface temperature of the platform, but not to the point of killing the embryos inside the eggs. Once hatched, young Morirots hide in the small caves hidden at the base of the structure.
Nest mushbit Mushbit 3000 Physical - 50%

Energy - 50%

None Tanzanite Mushbits create these structures as entry points to their giant colonies sprawling underneath the sands of the Galatean desert. They are made from cellulose mixed with Mushbit saliva. Collapsing the structure permanently closes an entry point to the colony, significantly decreasing Mushbit presence in the area.
